We are proud to announce that our clinical study using Brainsafe Pro has officially received ethical approval and is now ready to launch. The study will investigate pupillary light reflex (PLR) as a potential biomarker for sports-related concussion (SRC).
The research will combine advanced pupillometry technology with structured treatment interventions to better understand and track recovery in individuals suffering from persistent post-concussion symptoms.

“This marks an important step forward in our pursuit of objective diagnostics for brain injury. Pupillary dynamics offer a promising window into the autonomic and neurological effects of concussion.”
— Tony Pansell, Professor at St. Eriks Eye Hospital & Karolinska Institute, Head of Research at Brainsafe Pro
”Being responsible for the technical implementation of Brainsafe Pro, it’s exciting to contribute to a project where innovation meets clinical application. Building tools that can make a real difference in concussion care is both a challenge and a privilege.”
— Lukas Berg, Project Lead, Brainsafe Pro
”We’ve been working toward this moment for over a year. To now begin collecting data on real patients is a major milestone – not just for us, but for the future of concussion care.”
— Justus Bejnö, CEO, Brainsafe
The first participants will be onboarded in mid-August, and will undergo treatment interventions over a 12-week period.
