Yesterday, we had the privilege of representing Brainsafe at the Ecosystem Exchange: Life Sciences 2025, hosted by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK and graciously welcomed by Freeths at their London office. It was an inspiring and productive day of discussions, insights, and invaluable connections.

The Ecosystem Exchange programme brings together some of Sweden’s most innovative startups with the UK’s thriving ecosystem of investors, industry experts, and entrepreneurs. This particular gathering focused on the Life Sciences sector, creating a highly relevant platform for Brainsafe as we look toward international expansion.

Why the UK?

For Brainsafe, the UK represents an exciting next step. With its strong sports culture, advanced healthcare infrastructure, and growing awareness around concussion management and player safety, the UK is an ideal market for our solution. Our participation in this event is part of a broader strategy to:

  • Explore potential partnerships within UK sports organizations, medical networks, and educational institutions.
  • Understand the regulatory landscape and how Brainsafe’s services can align with UK health and safety protocols.
  • Connect with investors and collaborators who share our vision of protecting athletes while supporting performance and athlete safety.

Key Insights from the Programme

  • The UK life sciences market is rich with untapped opportunity, especially for companies focusing on digital health and preventive care.
  • Building early connections with regulators and clinical stakeholders can be a game-changer for navigating expansion smoothly.
  • There is a strong appetite among UK-based investors and organizations for Swedish healthtech solutions, especially those addressing athlete welfare and sports medicine.

What’s Next for Brainsafe?
This experience has sharpened our focus and validated our belief that the UK is ready for Brainsafe. Over the coming months, we’ll be:

  • Continuing conversations with several participants and organizations we met during the programme.
  • Exploring pilot collaborations with UK clubs and schools.
  • Identifying potential local partners who can support implementation and scaling.

A Big Thank You
Huge thanks to Selina, Anna, and the team at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK for organizing such a powerful event, and to Freeths for being such generous hosts. Special appreciation as well to all the partners who made the day possible.

If you’re based in the UK and want to learn more about Brainsafe’s mission or explore collaboration opportunities, I’d love to connect.

Let’s keep building safer, smarter sports together.
