Last week, Brainsafe had the privilege of holding a lecture at Katrinelund’s RIG and NIU programs in Gothenburg, where coaches and athletes from several elite sports gathered to learn more about concussion management and player safety.
The audience included representatives from handball, ice hockey, American football, basketball, and many more – all united by the same mission: to create a safer environment for athletes to develop and perform at the highest level.
During the session, we explored the latest knowledge on concussion recognition, rehabilitation, and return-to-play protocols. At Brainsafe, our goal is not only to raise awareness but also to provide concrete tools that make it easier for teams, schools, and federations to handle these complex injuries in a structured and evidence-based way.
One important outcome of the day is that Katrinelund will now onboard into the Brainsafe platform. This will allow their athletes and staff to benefit from our digital baseline testing, structured rehabilitation flow, and access to expert support when needed. By integrating Brainsafe into their daily routines, Katrinelund is taking a proactive step towards protecting their athletes’ brains and ensuring long-term health alongside performance.
“Knowledge is one of the strongest tools we have to protect athletes. By raising the standard of how we understand and manage concussions, we not only safeguard health but also enable athletes to perform with confidence. Seeing institutions like Katrinelund take this step is both inspiring and crucial for the future of sports,” says Justus Bejnö, CEO & Co-Founder of Brainsafe.
We are proud to collaborate with forward-thinking institutions like Katrinelund. Every step we take together brings us closer to a future where knowledge and science drive athlete safety – across all sports.
